I’ve always been drawn to great stories and to the way they stay with us — how they challenge us, disturb us, and sometimes change the way we see ourselves.

I care deeply about storytelling in all its forms: solid research, strong structure, flawed characters, and the long, often demanding writing process that leads to a meaningful ending.

What truly fascinates me are all the psychological layers — the ones that slip under the skin and linger long after the final page is turned.

I’m especially interested in exploring darkness and emotionally difficult themes. That’s alså why I feel a strong connection to my readers. They’re not afraid of the dark. They can sit with discomfort, ambiguity, and complexity.

That ability takes resilience, and it’s something I deeply respect.

NEW RELEASE

de faldne piger/The Fallen Girls

Thirteen-year-old Ida is found brutally murdered at the altar of a mission house in Ans, outside Silkeborg, Denmark.
A cross of blood is carved into her forehead — and no one knows whether her body is meant as mockery or sacrifice.

Kate, newly appointed lead investigator, is assigned to the case.
But in the tightly knit, deeply religious community, silence is a form of faith — and few are willing to speak.

In need of help, Kate turns to the experienced psychotherapist Abel. He specializes in religious fanaticism — and he knows Ans.
What begins as a professional collaboration soon becomes something darker. Because beneath the surface, something is stirring in Ans. Something that unsettles them both.

Who killed Ida?
And are other girls already marked?

De Faldne Piger is the first book in a new crime-noir series, God Is Watching.

About christina

I made my debut as an author in 2012 with two self-help books, Opskriften på lykke and Den glemte sandhed.

Ten years later, I stepped into the crime genre with the novel Kun vi kender sandheden, which was nominated for a Mofibo Award for its uncompromising psychological depth and atmospheric darkness.
This was followed by To dråber blod (2023) and Døden bærer mit navn (2024) — both critically acclaimed novels in the series.

In 2025, De faldne piger/The Fallen Girls was published — the first volume in the new psychological series God Is Watching, where religion, power, and shame are woven into the deepest layers of the human psyche.

Behind my stories lies a solid psychological foundation. I qualified as a psychotherapist in 2011, have studied multiple psychological disciplines, and currently work within the Danish Prison and Probation Service.

I specialize in crisis and trauma and have, over the years, focused extensively on personality disorders and the destructive sides of human nature — the very material that permeates my literary universe.

A Shared Theme

Whether I write, paint, or work therapeutically, my focus remains the same: to uncover darkness, to understand what is forbidden, and to search for meaning.
I believe true transformation only begins when we dare to face what we fear the most.
